Hei Mangōpare is a design that comes from a range of mangō pattern variations. All of the old mangō patterns make reference to sharks and are commonly found in kōwhaiwhai, whakairo and tā moko. The mangōpare in-particular represents the hammerhead shark, for its strength and determination. We've added niho (teeth) design elements along the edges to reinforce extra grit/resilience.
